The loss of family photos and documents, children’s art work, cherished letters, family recipes, and important papers is a major regret for people recovering from a fire or other catastrophic loss. Having scanned copies stored in another location can provide a backup in case of loss. Scanned copies also facilitate the sharing of documents and photos with family members.
Protect your important photos and documents by arranging for scanning today!
Document and Photo Scanning
We now offer scanning of documents and/or family photos. The client will receive a USB flash drive containing the scanned documents and photos organized into files and folders.
The customer will be provided with a file box with physical files and folders for sorting and labeling the photos to be scanned. The scanned photos on the flash drive will be labeled, numbered, and arranged in the same manner as they are sorted in the file box. A separate file will include a table of contents including any legible notations from the reverse side of the photos.
Costs
The introductory cost starts at $10 plus $1.00 per loose photo, $1.00 per 1-6 page document (with loose pages), and $0.05 per additional page within a document. There will be an extra charge for documents or photos over 8.5” X 14” (legal size) and for multi-page documents requiring special care, e.g., documents bound together in any way, to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Photos in albums may be accepted for scanning on a case-by-case basis, but may be charged at an hourly rate accounting for the additional work required.
Assistance with organizing the photos and documents into files is available an additional charge of $35 per hour (minimum 1 hour).
